These beautiful and intricate weavings are made by the artists from Gapuwiyak (Lake Evella) in Arnhem Land. They are woven from stripped and bush dyed Pandanus collected in the area.

Bush dyes are harvested from a number of different roots and leaves in the region.
These dyes are then added to drums and boiled with the pandanus leaves.
Creating a range of vivid hues from which to weave their beautiful creations.
