Life is better with art!

Original Aboriginal artworks for residential, commercial and public spaces

Interior designers and architects understand how art can transform a space. The right artwork can bring scale, colour and meaning to an interior while helping unify the design of a room or building.

ART ARK® works with designers, architects and project teams to source original Aboriginal artworks suitable for residential, commercial and public projects. All artworks are sourced directly from community-run Aboriginal art centres across Australia, ensuring artists are paid fairly and works are produced within the appropriate cultural context.

Trade and project enquiries welcome. Contact Guy to discuss your project.

Art for Residential, Commercial & Public Projects

ART ARK supports projects across a wide range of sectors, including private residential homes, hotels and hospitality venues, commercial offices, government buildings, healthcare environments, and cultural and educational institutions.

Aboriginal artworks can provide striking focal points within architectural spaces while adding cultural depth and authenticity to interiors. Large paintings, fibre works and sculptural pieces are often particularly effective within entrance areas, living spaces, boardrooms and hospitality settings.

Large Statement Works for Interior Spaces

Many interiors benefit from artworks that can hold a space. ART ARK frequently works with large-scale Aboriginal artworks including:

  • Large desert paintings
  • Woven fibre artworks
  • Bark paintings from Arnhem Land
  • Sculptural works and hollow logs

These works can be ideal for entrance areas, feature walls, stairwells, hospitality interiors and corporate spaces.

If a project requires particular sizes, colours or styles, we can help identify suitable works from current stock or through our network of Aboriginal art centres.

Ethical Aboriginal Art

When placing Aboriginal artworks within public or commercial spaces, ethical sourcing is essential. ART ARK works exclusively with community-run Aboriginal art centres. These centres are owned and governed by Aboriginal communities and ensure artists are paid properly for their work.

This approach provides full transparency and helps ensure that artworks are produced and sold in ways that respect culture, artists and communities.

Working With Designers and Architects

We regularly assist designers and architects with identifying artworks suitable for a project, suggesting works based on scale, colour and style, providing high-resolution images and scale references, and coordinating shipping across Australia and internationally.

Trade pricing is available for interior designers, architects and project teams.

Viewing Artworks

ART ARK is based in Launceston, Tasmania, where a selection of artworks can be viewed by appointment. For designers working remotely we can provide detailed images and information to assist with specifying works within projects.
