The artist has painted country where they grew up in Warburton, just south of the Gibson Desert. Here they spent time with family who lived at a very small outstation with a couple of houses out in the bush. Near to the outstation is a rockhole where the artist learned how to find bush tucker like honey ants and turkey.

Jenita Tjarurru Robertson was born in Perth and grew up with her auntie in Warburton, an Aboriginal community located just south of the Gibson Desert in Western Australia. While growing up she often spent time with her grandfather who lived at a very small outstation with a couple of houses out in the bush. He lived near a waterhole which was a good place to find bush tucker, and would take her out hunting for turkey or looking for honey ants. She now paints to represent this rockhole and her grandfather's knowledge. She moved to Nyirripi, Northern Territory in 2020 to spend time with her partner's family and raise her children.
