These beautiful and intricate weavings are made by artists from Gapuwiyak, Yirkala, and Maningrida in East Arnhem Land. They are woven from stripped and bush-dyed Pandanus collected in the area.

Bush dyes are harvested from a number of different roots and leaves in the region.
These dyes are then added to drums and boiled with the pandanus leaves.
Creating a range of vivid hues from which to weave their beautiful creations.
