This painting is of my home land, my mother’s, father’s and my children's totem country. It is about bush tucker and bush medicine. Plants, bush yams, flowers that grow along flat area, along the river.

“I was born in Port Hedland in the old hospital. We have moved around a lot. My parents settled down in Strelley and Warralong. After I had my children, I came here to Port Hedland. My children are still in Warralong. Here in Hedland, I have been watching the old people painting. It got me interested. I'm painting mainly of my homeland—my mother’s, father’s, and my children's totem country—about bush tucker and bush medicine. Plants, bush yams, and flowers that grow along the flat area, along the river.”
