The artists has represented the patterns of the landscape associated to her country and to her Jukurrpa. Yuendumu is located 290 km north west of Alice Springs where sand storms and whirly-whirly (mini tornados) are a frequent occurrence in the country. The designs that Marcia paints are closely associated with the fixtures of the country, several whirl-whirly lifting simultaneously out of the ground carrying with them dust and seeds to be deposited somewhere else in the landscape.
